Ryan is an excellent professional teacher in all respects; he is encouraging but appropriately challenging. He is extremely well prepared, reliable and knowledgeable, his standard of Maths teaching is excellent. His gentle and encouraging teaching manner has enabled me to find learning Maths much less daunting, and his sense of fun and humour has made the learning process fun. He demonstrates a thorough understanding of my learning needs, and is able to adapt easily to whether I need encouragement with Maths skills, or help with problem solving techniques. I have found Ryan to be a teacher of the highest standards and could not have wished more from a teacher.

I am currently in year 11 and began home schooling nearly a year ago. I have Ryan as a full time maths teacher for 3 hours a week. Maths has always been the subject that I have struggled with the most, as I found it difficult to understand why I needed to learn it and how it could be applicable in real world context. Ryan does a great job at explaining each of the topics and getting me to really understand how they work and why we do them and not just how to do them. This in turn has really helped me enjoy maths much more and do much better in the subject. Ryan also implements little checks into the higher scoring questions, so I can go away from that question knowing that it is correct, which I know will make me feel more reassured for the real GCSEs. I would highly recommend Ryan as a maths tutor as he goes above and beyond (in and out the lesson, as he has to set me homework and find time to mark that as well) and makes maths much more enjoyable for me!
